Benjamin Allyn Steen - Obituary

Benjamin Allyn Steen, son of Don and Corinne Steen of Kimberly, husband to Lodie Steen and loving father of baby Brady Allyn Steen, died Tuesday February 21, 2006.  He was 31.

Born November 16, 1974, Ben was raised in the Twin Falls area with his two older brothers Paul and Joel, and his two younger brothers, Philip and Joseph.

While his respect for the beauty of nature kept him in the area most of his life, it was his love for the Idaho wilderness that took him to hidden places within the state, places where few have ever gone.  Proud of its pristine lakes and untouched spender, Ben played the role of willing host to loved ones by leading the way into some of the quiet treasures that only Idaho has to offer.  And while he was noted for his sportsmanship, his character and his smile, still it's the love he held for his family that will be missed most of all.  Although his journey on earth was cut short, his kind, caring and considerate nature continues in yet another land.  As a husband, father, son, brother and friend, truly he was a "Gentle Ben."

He is survived by his wife, Lodie, and son, Brady Allyn Steen, both of Twin Falls; parents Donald and Corinne Steen of Twin Falls; father-in-law, David Miller of Twin Falls; mother-in-law, Kathi Schrader of Twin Falls; brothers, Paul David Steen of Kimberly, Joel (Dana) Steen of Marysville, CA, Philip Arnold (Amber) Steen at USMC CAmp Pendleton, and Joseph John Steen of Marysville, CA; brother-in-law, Brandon (Christina) Miller of boise; sister-in-law, Danna (Patrick) Cox of Hailey; and grandmother, Donna Steen of Twin Falls.

The funeral for Ben will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2006.

"Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."  2 Corinthians 1:3-5
