Dear Classmates,

A multi-class reunion meeting for class coordinators and committee members will be held on Friday, August 12th, from 7-9p, in a meeting room, at Rick's on the Square. There is only room for 40 people so we are asking everyone to RSVP via FB or email. I will send the final list of names to Rick on August the 8th. Bruce Green has donated the cost of the room to our class. Thanks Bruce! The reason for exact names is so when we arrive at 7:00, they can mark us off as paid. We have invited coordinators and committee members from 1979-1984 to join us this evening and are hopeful for a great turnout! Here is the Agenda:

 As you all know, Our 30th Class Reunion is coming up in 2012. A reunion committee is forming and I will host our very first reunion committee meeting on March 25th 2011, 7:00p, at my mom's house. The same house I lived in, while in High School. There will be food, so come hungry!
We will be taking a vote on the multi-class suggestion, as well as deciding what month to have our reunion. There will be a vote on whether or not to have a two day event and we will discuss things such as budget, and delegate responsibilities like decorations, photographer, registration and name tags...We will need someone to be in charge of entertainment, advertising and so much more!               Dear Classmates,

            On Friday, March 25th, we had our first reunion meeting. I am so pleased with the turnout. The attendees were: Phyllis Mitchell Ford, Cheryl Knox Dean, Norma Spier, Lynn Reed Stevens, Karen Poeschl Kelley,Cliff Moore, Ken Odom, Don Rodgers, Bruce Green, Denethra Mosley, Dawn Fortune Francis and Terri Wallace Suazo.

There are many more people that will be helping with this reunion, however weren't able to join us this time. Looking forward to the next meeting...
 

Here are some of the decisions we have made:

  • We will have a multi-class reunion
  • It will be a 2 day event
  • We will be asking the classes of 1980, 1983 and 1984 to join us, as 1981 is having their reunion in June of this year. If anyone from the classes of 1979 and 1981 would like to come, they are more than welcome to buy a ticket and join us. 
  • We have decided on the 1st or 2nd week of June 2012
  • Bruce Green and I are working on venues..I went out and looked at The Petroleum Club on Lake Tyler and am in negotiations with them at present. I am also looking at The Kiepersol Estates. Will have more info soon.
