Welcome to the Bullock County High Class Of 1999 web site.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

Announcement:

This site is for "ALL CLASSMATES" to express their thoughts and concerns, not just one person.  No one has the right to say who can and cannot say anything on this website.  So classmates, please feel free to express your thoughts.  We welcome all comments! Thanks a lot!

From Sheila Turner-Barnes:

Hello Class of 1999. This is Sheila Turner-Barnes. I do have some concerns that I would like to express. First of all, I want to say thank you to the classmates that took time out of their schedules to work hard in an effort to pull off a great class reunion. Hats of to you guys! I understand that this process was not easy, but you should be proud of what you have accomplished.

Please understand I am not trying to cause any problems when I say this is has not the best organized attempt to get everyone together. The website is wonderful but some people cannot get online. Though it would seem that more calls would have been made or some other avenue of communication reached, many people really don't know what is going on. There are classmates that want to feel like they are a part in this process but instead they feel left out. Several classmates don't feel comfortable sending their money because of the lack of unity. I know we can do this. There is no blame, it just means there is a lapse in communication and "we" all need to help pull this off. I don't want people to miss out on a wonderful weekend because they felt that their opinions were not important to the classmates in charge. Unfortunately, so many of them feel this way. They are so reluctant to join in because they feel left out. It doesn't bother me because I trust that the best plans will be made. I have that much faith in you guys.

                "Calling all Hornets of 1999"

This is concerns the class dues, everyone who's participate in the class reunion needed to sent their money order or cashier check to me (Courtney Austin) no later than May 5. My address is can be found on my profile page, if anyone have questions about the class reunion feel free at anytime to call me. I'm so ready to get this class reunion started so we can PARTY LIKE IT IS 1999!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From Jameka Ivey-Caffie:

Hello fellow classmates,

I am posting this announcement because there are so many questions as to what is going on. First of all, when I attempted to plan a class reunion, my intentions were never to leave anyone out. I used the resources that I had in order to contact people. If you feel that you were left out, I apologize. However, I will not apologize for attempting to gather my classmates together with the few people that replied back to me. I feel that some jumped to the wrong conclusion before even researching the matter. I have decided to step down because I do not have the time to devote to planning the class reunion and making changes at the last minute as some would like to. I have issues going on within my family, but I know that God will see me through this. I did not just abandon the class reunion. Courtney is working her tail off in order to make the reunion a success. However, Courtney can not make this a success if the money is not there to do it with. Of course, everyone's concern is where the money would go. The money would go towards renting buildings, food, entertainment for s as well as children, decorations, awards, goody bags, and T-shirts. Why should I have to pay for the children of my classmates to eat? This is a question that some that don't have children have probably asked. You are paying for yourself and a guest if you so choose to bring one. If there are so many nick picky questions back and forth, a class reunion would be impossible to complete. It has been ten years and we all are grown s now. We should come together, rejoice, and be blessed that the Lord has allowed us to make it these 10 years. I love you all and if I stepped on some toes, I am sorry. I still love you all. I just want everyone to come together and have a good time.

FINAL MEETING!!!!

There will be a final meeting about the class reunion this Saturday, April 25th at 3:30 p.m at Subway in Union Springs, AL.  Courtney Austin will be officiating this meeting.  Any questions, comments, or concerns should be directed towards her.

Hello All Classmates!

I hope everyone is doing well!

There have been some questions and concerns about where the money is going.  Well we have found a caterer who gave us an awesome deal on providing food, cooking, and serving us on Friday and Saturday.  We are purchasing t-shirts.  We have a DJ who will provide music on Friday and Saturday.  Lastly, we are getting a circus type deal for the kids of the classmates so they will have something fun and exciting to do with things such as inflatable slides (dry and wet), inflatable bouncers, and a cotton candy stand.

Please be aware that we have to consider everyone which is 50+ classmates, their spouses, and children.  If you have any suggestions, questions, or concerns, please contact Jameka Ivey, Courtney Austin, or me (Sherida Harris).  Thank you!

UPDATE:  When sending your $100 for the class reunion, please don't send any cash or personal checks.  We are only accepting money orders or cashier's checks (if anything else is sent, we cannot be responsible).  Please make them payable to Bullock County Class of 99.  Thank you.

To All Fellow Classmates:
