Irwin Sharon K. Irwin, age 65, of Galena, died Thursday evening, January 30, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family. Born August 6, 1947 in Columbus to the late Harold G. Fogg and Donna J. (Myers) Fogg of Galena. She was an elementary teacher for 38 years retiring from the Johnstown-Monroe School District. Member and elder of Condit Presbyterian Church. Former Girl Scout leader and 4-H assistant advisor. Sharon loved her family and time spent with her children and grandchildren was precious to her. Sharon enjoyed knitting, reading and she loved animals. Sharon enjoyed teaching and would go out of her way to make sure her students received a good education. Teaching and the children she taught were her passion. Sharon always had a smile on her face and never met a person she did not like. In addition to her mother survived by her husband of 35 year, James Irwin and they were married July 16, 1977 in Columbus; daughter, Amy Irwin of Galena; sons, James (Kelly) Irwin Jr. of Galena, David Irwin of Galena; grandchildren, Tyler and Alexis; sister, Marcia (Jim Enloe) Needham of Mount Vernon, David (Linda Green) Fogg of Columbus.
