Ol' Chip . . . one of the good ones that we have known since kindergarten.  Clark lived on Barrington Road near North Star Road.  He and Ted Rytel and Rick Detwiller hosted many a basketball and football game for those of us who lived within a couple blocks.  If y'all remember the Star Road vegetable shack, then you can picture the huge football field available to us as kids - - - Barrington School provided us with basketball and baseball venues.  Chip was a fine organizer of neighborhood good times back in the 60's.

Our thoughts are with Chip's family - we shall think of the Chipster often!

Clark (then known as Chip) was the first person I met when I moved to UA in first grade.  We grew up across the street from each other on Barrington Rd. And were best friends through high school.  Many of our neighborhood exploits are now fond memories and stories that I've shared with my sons.  In the 45 years since I moved to St. Louis we stayed in touch with an occasional e-mail or rare face to face visit.  I could always count on Clark for an honest and insightful opinion to most any question or topic.  He knew back in junior high that he wanted to be an attorney and reached that goal.  He was a great definition of an old friend.
