I am so sorry to hear about Pat's demise.  My sincere condolences to her family and friends.

My favorite memory of Pat was how she invited me to a dance.  The theme was "Meet Me in St. Louis." and Pat asked me "Would you like to meet me in St. Louis?"  I wasn't able to attend the dance, but I remember that as being one of the cutest things ever.  Blessings to you, Pat, and may you rest in peace.

Patty wuichet was connected to our family in the early days and through the Grandview Wuichets who were friends with Linda. One of the very alert people in our high school and a gentle independent thinker who was a real pleasure to know.  She is well worth cherishing in memory.

So sorry to hear that Pat has passed. She was so talented. I remember being in the talent show with her and singing Do Re Me. A fond memory.

Pat and I met on the first day of first grade.  Our mothers became friends, so we always had a pretty close connection all through high school, and then college.  I think she would be so pleased to know what you all have said, and Dan, you hit the nail on the head when you said she was an independent thinker.  Her husband of 36 years, Don Riechel, who had been a German professor at OWU, took excellent care of her through her Alzheimers journey.  She ended up at the Forum in Columbus, and I visited her there a few times in the last couple of years.  It broke my heart to see the light going out of her eyes.  What a horrible disease.  On a lighter note, if you watch the video on the Schoedingers website, you will see photos of a beloved "only child." (I'm the one wearing saddle shoes with shorts on a fall day in fourth grade).  Pat obviously distinguished herself at OSU.  She seemed to have mastered the difficult art of step-parenting as well.  And she was a very good person.

I was so sorry to hear about Pat's sad journey with Alzheimers. I remember very fondly spending hours singing Show Tunes to Pat's piano artistry. She was a very talented person and fun to be around.
