Bill Murray's Book

Not to be outdone by Sarah Palin’s Book, “Going Rogue”, I’m announcing the release of my book “Renegade Colonel” this week!  I just got the proof copy in the mail.  This has been a life-long dream and a side project for the last two years, but it’s finally done.  There's an old Jewish proverb that says during a man's life he should raise a child, plant a tree, and write a book. Mission accomplished.

Below you can see the book cover and chapter outlines.  It is now available on Amazon.com in hardback and paperback.  Soon it will be available on Barns and Noble, Target, and Books-a-Million.  If you choose to purchase a copy, please write a review on the website.  Many of you are in the book, so I figure I’ll sell a few copies out of fear of what I said about you. J  Right now I don’t plan to do any marketing………..I’m still waiting on calls from Rush, Oprah, and Larry King to really get things going!

Here’s what the summary says:

To say Bill Murray's entire life has been unconventional would be an understatement! After all, how many people have lived in Canada, England, Spain and traveled the world; burned down a barn and two houses, graduated from the Air Force Academy (1975), and while there burned up a dorm room; played collegiate football, wresting, and lacrosse; flown supersonic fighters, got booted out of the Air Force over a wet rug, only to be reinstated a few years later; crashed an aerobatic plane and survived, had cancer and survived, had children and survived? You get the idea!

In Renegade Colonel, Murray recounts his experiences from childhood through his Air Force career. From his early years an F-111 WSO to his later years in leadership positions as a senior director in the Air Force, Bill has had the experiences of a lifetime. He wrote this book because in years to come, he wants his family and friends to be able to share in the memories and travel back in time, if only for a few chapters. Renegade Colonel is a book of unbelievable lifetime experiences - experiences anyone could enjoy vicariously and learn from!

Sorry about the cost.  I didn’t set the price.  The publisher (iUniverse) tells me it’s because the book is 700 pages, which is amazing because when I started this venture my greatest fear was I couldn’t write enough pages to fill a book!  My Brother-in-Law, who normally gets things right said, “Give me a break, Bill.  Try to keep it to one volume.  I don’t think length will be a problem!”

If cost is a problem and you want a book, let me know.  Judy gets all the profit.  She had to live with me all those years, so she deserves $1/book!  Bill
