Jude and I had a few classes together. I remembered him as being very shy and quite. Rest in Peace!

When I heard of Jude's passing I immediately recalled the first time that we met. It was the third grade at Mare Island elementary. We went our separate ways the next year and we wouldn't see each other again until our high school years. I remember hanging out with him (and others) during lunch and betting on football games. We even went to Scandia a few times. I have nothing but fond memories of Jude. R.I.P. my fellow airman and friend.

Jude was a great friend! Everyday for lunch, he, David Antonio and I would walk to the 7-Eleven and buy a burrito and Mountain Dew for lunch. Then we'd hang out under the "Through Wisdom We Shall Have Strength" sign at the library. Sometimes Ron Garcia joined us; on occassion Mike Almanzor would take a break from his jock friends and sit with us. We talked a lot about everything... girls, job, driving, future, Ben Davis v. Dickies, girls, sports, Members Only v. Sir Jacks, school gossip, girls, our disdain for Angels' Flights, oh did I mention girls? After graduation we all went our separate ways. Dave and Jude went to the Air Force.I went to Sacramento State. Mike to USC. Ron later showed up at Sac. On occassion we'd all hook up to catch up on stuff but then weeks turned into months, and months turned into years.

Many years later I opened up the Times Herald and there was the news of Jude's passing. A deep sadness went through me. Memories awoke and I relived all those seemingly mundane, formative years in high school. Only then did I realize how important those years were.  Then David passed. The sadness returned as more memories flooded back. I don't remember any bad memories. I only remember laughing... just good, happy laughter.

I really can't express how much I will miss you Guys!
