Reggie and I were close friends after graduation and we joined the Air Force on the buddy system. We had a lot of fun the year before we went on active service. One time I will never forget when we were running the streets of Vandalia in our 66 chevy's and he ran into the back of me. Because we didn't have insurance or money, he took the trunk (red) off his car and put it on mine(silver)and that is the story... and I will always miss you Reggie.

When I think of Reggie I think of the time when we were either Junior or Seniors (the mind, you know), and I had my Dad's car and we picked up Reggie, Karen Johnston, Bob (again, the mind, I can't remember his name) but he was driving my Dad's car and I think Sue Nickel was with us. Anyway, we were just cruising around and ended up out on Cassel Road and Bob was going a "little" over the speed limit and the bridge out there was out and we almost ended up in the river. Well, there just happened to be (heaven forbid!) beer in the car and when Bob hit the brakes, the beer spilled all over Reggie. Well, he was terrified because he couldn't go home smelling of beer so we all went back to Karen's house, she washed his shirt and dried it, he cleaned up a bit and we cleaned up my Dad's car - luckily it all went on Reggie and not on the car! What a night! We had a ball after we got over being scared to death! We miss you Reg!
