Terry A Windel, age 55 of Tipp City, passed away Saturday, December 22, 2001. He was a retired employee of Ameritech with 28 years service; a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam conflict. Terry was a 1964 graduate of Vandalia-Butler High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents Cecil & Victory Windel and father-in-law James J. Zenz; Terry is survived by his wife of 35 years, Brenda (Zenz) Windel; 1 daughter Leigh Anne Windel of Georgia; 1 son Scott Windel of Kentucky; 1 sister Cecelia (Windel) Brooks of Huber Heights; his mother-in-law Fern Zenz of Vandalia and numerous other relatives & friends.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, December 27, 2001 at the Morton & Whetstone Funeral Home in Vandalia. Burial at Forest Hills Cementery.

Terry and I didn't meet until 7th grade as he went to Stonequarry and I went to Murlin. I always sat behind him in class as we had to sit in alphabetical order and he was a "W" and I was a "Z". I guess it was fate that we got married.....we had been together for so many years anyway! This year would have been our 35th anniversary and I miss him terribly. He had a kind heart and was always ready to help anyone who needed it and always had a smile and a kind word. He was a great cook and my best friend. Rest easy my dear one and keep an eye on our other friends.
