I think all of us who are surviving members of the Class of '64 ought to put $20.00 into a savings type account.  There will be a list of names included in the documentation; one person keeps track of remaining classmates.  Whoever is the last remaining living person from the Class of '64 gets the jackpot.                                                        Gregory Lee Cooper

Now that is a great Idea.  But with my sugar levels from Agent Orange I think i will be out of the running.  It has been a great life.

Good morning, and "Hello" from the banks of frozen Lake Erie!

I, too, think that this is a GREAT idea (although a bit morose).  Where, or to whom should we send the $20?

Best to you all - for excellent health, happiness, prosperity, and peace!

John

That's easy, John.  Send it to the one who will be the last one standing!

The person that ends up being the "last person standing" will be too old to spend the money. So, just send me the $20 and I'll find a way to put it to good use. smiley

Dear Sandy:

Thank you for posting the names of our departed classmates.  They will always remain in my memory, the way they were back in 1964.

Best regards to you and your family, and all of our classmates.  Please stay apart, one and all, during the current pandemic.  It is not make believe.  It is all too real.

Marty

And I see there is one more of the deceased that I forgot to mention Nancy Belland. She passed away last year. I kept in touch with her before her passing and I still keep in touch with her daughter. Her daughter has written a book and I recently purchased it from her. Nancy would be so very proud of her daughter.

Hope all had a good Memorial Day to remember our Veterans that have passed.  This is also a time to remember those that we grew up with and are no longer with us.

I realize that this is not Veterans Day,Memorial day or any special day, But as I sit here thinking about the way our country is getting so divided I think about how very proud that I am of my fellow classmates Martin Anderson,Eric Blalock,Mike Breseman,Davi Burr,Bob Burt,Jim Butler,Greg Cooper,Bill Gardner,Steve Gary Alex Gorsline,John Hill,Richard Metty,Duane Meulman,Brooks Simpson,Jeff Smith,Doug Stafinski,Jim Tolhuizen,Paul Valette, Bob Weesies and Dan Wilson and any others that I may have not mentioned. And I do realize that some that I have mentioned are no longer with us, but they also deserve recognition. And I want to once again and I can't express it nearly enough that I for one appreciate your service and am so proud of each and every one of you that you had kept our country safe. each and everyone of you were a very important part of keeping our country together and not being divided politiclly. And I'm sure that each of you had your own political preference but that didn't matter you all stood together with others. Strangers that you had never known and had gottento know in your days of service to our country. Take Care all and Stay Safe and Healthy through these trying days of COVID-19, As Always, Sandy Valentine Fleming

Sorry folks but I'm on a roll. I just want to also add to our administrator Brooks Simpson that I would gladly contribute money to keep this site going. Although I haven't been on it much lately I do like popping in and seeing what people have to say. If more people would use it I most likely would be checking it out on a regular basis. And it would be nice to have Brooks send an email to all the classmates and ask them to use it more. Maybe some don't realize that the Website is still going. I would love to hear about news of our classmates. Any new experiences or just everyday life experiences..How they are doing, any new additions to their families, birthdays, Trips that they may have or will be taking. We are all getting older and it I think it is wonderful that we can connect through classcreators. And it is such a good way to be connected. I am friends with John Hill on Facebook and I would have liked to see him share his experience of hiking the entire Appalachian Trail on this site. . All said and done I hope that you all Stay Healthy and Safe during these trying times COVID-19. As always, Sandy Valentine Fleming.

Dear Sandy:

These are trying times, both with respect to the pandemic and politically (which have become inextricably entwined).  The current political environment has driven a wedge between U.S. citizens, far wider than that caused by the war in Vietnam.  Grave concerns abound for the future and sanctity of our political system.  It amazes me what our fellow Americans have come to accept from our political leaders, running the gamut of debauchery to criminality with little complaint whatsoever in some quarters.  May the union yet survive these, the worst of tmes, and may we soon disover we are entering the winter of our discontent leading towards a brighter future for all.
