I have had the pleasure of reconnecting with Nancy over the past couple of years and have been keeping up on her struggle with MDS. Nancy had taken on this battle with so much grace and dignity it has been overwhelming for me. I had tried to donate blood for her her in Michigan through the Red Cross,but they no longer do that it going to another state is what they told me.She had gotten to the point where she was needing platelets very frequently. Nancy was A very active person in Slidell Louisiana where she called home. Always having a smile on her face she never let her medical problem get her down where she would showin public. She has been a real trooper through this whole ordeal. In Slidell she was very active in Habitat for Humanity, Rainbow Child Care, Slidell Volunteer Center, Junior Auxillary, And Carmellia Quilters Club Amongst other things. Nancy was a very devoted christian and was delivered as she would put it To her codo in the sky on Thursday August 9, 2018. Nancyalways from the first day that I met her in school always had a smile on her face and a bubbly personality. I'm going to miss the talks that we had but I know there is no more suffering for her.Until we met again hopefully I can be in a condo in the sky next to her. R.I.P. dear Nancy.
