This site is maintained and managed by the Community of Filipino English Teachers (CoFFET) an NPO of Filipino English Language Teachers currently teaching in Japan.

CoFFET is NOT a recruitment agency nor do we claim to be acting for and inbehalf of any BOE or placement company. As such our service is purely voluntary and "pro bono" we do not charge our members any recruitment, placement or processing fee. www.coffet.org

The primary purpose of CoFFET as an NPO is foremost;

• Improve the quality and efficiency of Filipino English Teachers in Japan through regular workshops, trainings, seminars and personal development courses.
• To prepare and provide opportunity to Filipinos who wish to work as an AET/ALT in the Japanese Government School System.
• provide a link between the Board of Education/ALT recruitment companies and sspiring teachers.

Our teachers are guaranteed to have undergone the following;

• Inclass  120 hr TESOL certification course
• 30 hrs Accent Reduction Training
• 5 days Japan ALT Teacher Training Program
• English Language Proficiency Training
• TOEIC certified
