Kay Bull (Danielson)

I was saddened to learn of Kathy's death. On Saturday, June 27, she failed to wake up. I guess if one has to leave this world, that is the best way to do so!
I remember Kathy as a lively, energetic, and delightful girl. We knew each other at RHS and later at Baylor. We weren't close friends but "ran" in similar circles. We re-connected at our 50th reunion and had some great conversations. Afterward we became friends on Facebook and enjoyed continuing to get to know one another.
Kathy married Ron Hurt, whom she met at Baylor. They had twin daughters. Here is a portion of what her daughters shared on Facebook:
To know our mom was to love her. She was warm, vibrant, and had a generous spirit. She loved to help others and did everything she could to support and care for the people in her life.
Mom loved going to estate sales on the weekends, where she loved the thrill of finding an unexpected item and learning the story behind it.
Our mom loved to travel and she was an adventurous and spirited traveling companion. From Ireland to Greece, the Grand Canyon to Alaska, she never tired of exploring and appreciating new places.
She loved Ron and he loved her. Together, they created a full life together, making plans, supporting each other, traveling the world, and doing things they loved to do. They were the best team. She loved and was so proud of her daughters, and she never stopped telling us that. We’re lucky that we’ve always laughed a lot as a family, and that even as adults, we looked forward to spending time with each other.
RIP, Kathy.
