William Beichler (Teacher)

William G. Beichler, 64, of Rittman, died July 15, 2002.



He was a life resident of the Creston-Rittman area. He graduated from Norwayne High School in 1955, attended the University of Akron, and received his bachelor's and master's degrees in education from Kent State University. He worked at the Morton Salt Co. for 14 years, and then was a teacher in the Wadsworth City Schools for 26 years before retiring in 1996. He served in the Army National Guard and was a member of the First Church of God in Wooster.

Surviving are his wife, Loretta; son, Shawn (Julie) Beichler of Cary, N.C.; daughter, Tamara (Robert) Morrison of Sterling; brothers, Paul (Frances) Beichler and Jack Beichler of Wooster, Carl (Teiko) Beichler of Sterling, David Beichler of Wadsworth, John (Donna) Beichler of Seville, Jim (Doris) Beichler of Creston; sister, Thelma Beery of Mariposa, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at the First Church of God in Wooster. Pastors Ken Thomas and O.J. Thompson will officiate, with burial at Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Friends may call TODAY from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gillman Funeral Home in Rittman, and one hour before services at the church.
