Willard G. Houston, 77, died Sept. 30 at his residence after a brief illness. Born in Barberton, Mr. Houston was a lifelong resident of Wadsworth. He was an automotive instructor for the Wadsworth City Schools, retiring in 1975 with 10 years service. He attended the Wadsworth First Christian Church, and was a  life member of Wadsworth Lodge 385 F&AM. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason, and  a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Canton.

Mr. Houston is survived by wife, Dora A.; son and daughter-in-law, Willard  and Dianne of Wadsworth; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Jo and Paul Enderle of Seville; five grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Thomas of Barberton; sisters, Doris Cottingham, Vera Johnson and Myrtle Ries, all of Wadsworth. He  was preceded in death by sister, Maxine; and brother, Clyde.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 7 to 9 p.m., and Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., at the Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St.

Wadsworth, where services will be held Tuesday, 11 a.m., Rev. James L. Singleton officiating. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Masonic services  will be conducted Monday, 8 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association; or the American Cancer Society.
