Longtime resident of Wadsworth since 1945. She graduated from Washington High School, Massillon, Ohio in 1927 and attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio and graduated in 1931 with a B.A. degree from Denison University in Grandville, Ohio, and was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority.

Mrs. Gillman taught Latin and English in high school in Clinton, Massillon, and Wadsworth. Charter member of the Women's Club of Wadsworth, Parmi Nous, Wadsworth-Rittman Hospital Auxiliary, Sorosis, Ohio Retired Teachers Association, Friends of Wadsworth Library, Medina County Retired Teachers, Wadsworth Historical Society, and Grace Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday school, served on church council , Helping Hands committee, and Altar Guild.

Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, of 54 years.  Mrs. Gillman is survived by son Bruce and Susan Gillman of Staten Island, New York, daughter Marty of San Ramon, CA and Kim Gillman of Danville, CA, grandson Brad and daughter-in-law Piper of Alamo, CA, and granddaughter Leslie of San Fransisco, CA.

The family received friends 4-7:30 PM Monday at the Hilliard-Rospert Funeral Home, 174 N. Lyman St., Wadsworth, Ohio.
