Mark Doran

Mark retired from the Navy after 20 years of service. He had married a woman from Norton. After some ailments he found that he had a brain tumor and was given 2 weeks to live. He and his wife enjoyed their last days together and he pasted away December 2, 2003.

Deceased Name: Mark A. Doran
Mark A. Doran, 50, beloved husband of Cynthia Doran, devoted son of Jonas and Francis Vandermark, and brother of Sherry Hickling and Jimmy Doran, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 2, 2003.

Mark is also survived by his children, Carrey and Jonas Doran, and Florinda Reimer of Jacksonville, Fla., Amy Dawson and Ben and Michelle Gerard of Akron. Mark was a loving grandfather to four grandchildren.

Mark retired from the U.S. Navy in October 1994 after 20 years of loyal service to his country. He was later employed by Akron Porcelain, where he had numerous friends. Mark will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He left us with these words of wisdom--"Remember the good times and the bad times and always remember family."

A military graveside service will be held at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Rittman, on Friday at 2 p.m. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in honor of Mark to Hospice of VNS, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, Ohio 44333.
