Bruce was killed on the job at a construction site when a wall collapsed on top of him.

Bruce E. Kimes, 26, of 9595 River Styx Road, Guilford Township, died Monday, April 19, 1982, at Massillon Community Hospital from injuries incurred in an industrial accident. Born in Lodi, he was a lifetime resident of the Wadsworth area. Mr Kimes was a heavy equipment mechanic for Wenger Excavating in Dalton. Survivors include his wife, Patty; parrents, Dales S. and Mary Etta Kimes of Wadsworth Township; one sister, Barbara James of Guilford Township; grandmothers, Mary Kimes of Rittman and Naomi Kimes of Wadsworth. Funeral services will be today at 3 pm at Hilliard Cox Mullaney Funeral Home Rev. John R Long officiating. Burial will be in Rittman Cemetery.

Bruce will be missed. He had a great sense of humor and wanted a fast car so bad, he could taste it! News of his accident was a real shock. You just don't think anything can ever hurt us....but it does. Good by my friend, see you on the other side. God's love to your family.
