Paul and his brother Mark lived down the hill from my parent's home in Skypark. I visited their house often when we were still in school. By the time we graduated, we no longer were part of the same circle, but I remember being shocked to learn that he was terminally ill.

I've thought of him many times over the years. He hardly had a chance at life. I've always thought it was so unfair.

I recall finding out about Paul when I applied for a part-time position at the Dutch Pantry and was actually covering for Paul's mom in her accounting job at the Pantry, while she was taking Paul for his Kemo treatments. I've thought about that often since and how hard it must be on a mother (now that I've been one) to have to go through such an ordeal. I'm sorry to the family and especially to his twin, Mark. It would be tough enough to lose a sibling, but a twin.
Thoughts of Paul.......

So sad hearing of Paul's passing and just recently his older brother Mike passed away from Diabetes. They were good friends and will be missed. We will never know what they would have contributed to the community. Such good people. See you on the other side my friend.
