Benjamin D. Slanker, 44, passed away March 27, 1999, in Sacramento, Calif.
He was a lifetime resident of Wadsworth, and was the former owner of Slanker Well Drilling.
He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Calvin) Reese; sister, Peggy (Jack) Wooford; uncle, Dan Slanker of California; and five children.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 1999, at the Cox Funeral Home, 7984 Ridge Rd. (state Route 94), Wadsworth, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery. (Cox Funeral Home, Wadsworth, 335-3311.)

You might add that Ben took over the well drilling company after his father passed away . Shortly thereafter Ben went to Africa to drill some wells . There was a big write up in the News banner at that time . Ben was a little shy but well liked in school .
