As I've also commented to many of you on my Facebook network, our reunion was a weekend of  such fun and reconnection for me, which I will always remember fondly. My hubby and I have said over the past several weeks how ironic it was that on that weekend I was feeling great and so happy to have spent that wonderful time feeling at the top of my game. For those of you who know my recent health story, my health decline started right after that weekend and yet, I have all those wonderful memories to hold in my heart and will forever.

I'd like to just think that every time I see you guys I will as be healthy and happy as I was planning and participating in that weekend But if for some reason there is not another weekend like that in my future, I want you all to know what a gift it was to spend that time with you and how I wish you the absolute best in everything you do!!! I'm proud of us Class of 90 and blessed to have known you.

Three Month Children Swap Exchange Program in Berlin

I was wondering if any of my classmates had teenagers in the 11 grade next year (or even college kids who would like to come) for a three month swap program. Our family lives in Berlin and in the 11th grade in Germany many children do an exchange program in another country and swap children for a few months so we have begun looking for another family who might be interested in coming to Berlin for 3 months.   The Berlin school starts back on August 28th and we would have the exchange approximately until the end of November.

My son Emery attends a German English bilingual school called Nelson Mandela School https://www.nelson-mandela-schule.net/en/   They are used to having exchange students from other countries.   Here is an article where the school is mentioned https://www.morgenpost.de/berlin/article235845233/Berliner-Schueler-verbessern-sich-beim-Abitur.html.  Ideally, I would love for Emery find a spot so he can attend the Wadsworth High School.

We live only a 5 minute bike ride to the school in a lovely green area in Berlin called Wilmersdorf.  Emery is 16 years old and is very mature for his age.  Last year he went to Prague, Amsterdam, Teneriffe and Lisbon by himself.  Of course, he cannot yet drive because that is not allowed until 18 here.   He is very easy going and gets along with everyone quite easily.

In addition to Emery, we have both a 13 and 17 year daughter.   My husband is a professor and I am a retired IT now stay at home mom.

If anyone might be interested please let me know so we can webcam and discuss further details.

Best,
Wendy
