Richard J. Belcourt Jr., 54, husband of Susan Zamoic Belcourt died on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at Connecticut Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Meriden on July 29, 1960, he was the son of Richard J. Belcourt Sr. and Sheila Bianchi Belcourt of Sun City, S.C. Richard attended Wallingford schools and graduated from Sheehan High School. Mr. Belcourt was employed by Recovery Network of Programs and was a parishioner of St. Mary Church. Richard enjoyed bowling, was a big Red Sox fan and an avid weather tracker.
Besides his wife Susan and his parents, Richard is survived by two daughters, Amy and Stacey Belcourt; his grandmother, Catherine Belcourt of Meriden; three brothers, Michael Belcourt and his wife Heidi of Wallingford, William Belcourt and his wife Mary Anne of Salt Lake City, Utah, Matthew Belcourt and his wife Sandra of Hamden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Church 5 Sherman Place, Meriden, CT 06451. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E.
