Bio

Wally Pleasant was born Wallace Bullard in Detroit, Michigan. Wally began performing under the Wally Pleasant pseudonym while at Michigan State University in the late 1980’s. Wally released his first full length CD, Songs About Stuff, in 1992 and soon after began touring all over the country. During this period, Wally charted nationally on the College Music Journal and Gavin College music charts, reaching as high as #35. Wally has been featured in Billboard Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. Wally’s music has been featured on the syndicated NPR show Car Talk, and Dr. Demento. Wally’s style is quite original, taking on topics in song that maynot have been taken on before, such as Stupid Day Job, Denny’s at 4:00 a.m., and She’s In Love With A Geek.

Today, Wally lives in Mid Michigan where he is married with two kids. Recently, he coordinated a multi-band performance to benefit  families dealing with economic crisis. Wally continues to write and is looking forward to wrapping up material for his long-awaited 7th full length recording.

To date, Wally has created 6 full length albums - Songs About Stuff, Welcome To Pleasantville, Houses Of The Holy Moly, Wally World, Hoedown and Music For Nerds And Perverts.

Wally recently recorded the audio for an animated kid’s song called The Dinosaur Alphabet that is approaching one million views on YouTube.

In 2010, Wally won a Michigan Emmy for best commercial for an ad he did for Biggby Coffee.
