After leaving WAO -- I headed to Moorhead to study at MSU (now MSUM). After changing my major 5 times I finally decided on Elementary Education. Hey, I didn't know what I wanted to do! Well, still don't for that matter.
Held various jobs -- day care employee, MSU bookstore textbook personal, & fantastic waitress at Olive Garden.
Before graduating I went over seas for a semester (basically because I knew I wouldn't do it later in life). I lived & studied at Oxford in England, then traveled throughout Europe. Almost got arrested in Germany because I purchased a wrong tram ticket - what do you expect, I can't read German! I survived and came back to graduate.
My final year in college I met my future husband. Actually it was thanks to Jerod & Katie Steer, though they didn't know it. My husband & Jerod were roommates, thus we met.
We got married in 2005, moved from Fargo to Milnor, to Lisbon. The spouse had a job with Bobcat in Gwinner, thus us living out in the middle of nowhere.
After graduating from college I needed cash, and wouldn't be able to find a teaching job until fall -- I decided to take up an offer a textbook wholesale company offered me. The company is based in Columbia, MO. I work with university & college bookstores in the tri-state area. No -- I do not sell books out of the trunk of my car. And NO I cannot get you a good deal at the buyback counter. And a final NO, I am not the one that rips you off. June will mark 5 years with the company and living out of a suitcase.
Last October, my husband got a job in Fargo and we put our house up for sale. Needless to say it took a year to sell -- but it did and now we live in Fargo.
No kids-- one cat, 2 nieces and the Steers are doing a great job of producing kids so we're thinking we might get one of theirs.
