Valerie attended St. Francis Grade School before coming to Washington High. She married David Koch in 1975. They lived in New Haven, MO. She was the mother of 3 daughters.  Valerie worked as a nurses aide at St. John’s Mercy Hospital, Washington and at the New Haven Care Center in New Haven, MO.
