Survived By: Beloved husband for 42 years of Lilia Guiang Langford; much loved father of Christine Callahan and her husband Mark of Ipswich, Mass.; cherished Papa of Hannah Joy, Sarah Marie and Luke James, his namesake; dear brother of William Langford and his wife Pauline, Edmund Langford and his wife June and the late Robert Langford whose wife, Helen, survives, all of Watervliet.

James D. "Gus" Langford, 65, passed peacefully on March 3, 2009, at home, surrounded by his family after a long illness. He was a graduate of Watervliet High School and Hudson Valley Community College. Gus retired from food service management at Albany Medical Center Hospital after 30 years of service and then returned to his alma mater to run the Watervliet High School and Elementary School cafeterias for 10 years. Jim lived every day to the fullest and enjoyed his family, spending time in his yard and on home improvement projects. He was an avid reader, animal lover, a lifelong baseball fan and statistician dedicated to his Cincinnati Reds and a talented singer who loved to entertain.
