Yesterday, another friend and classmate of ours, William Beckman passed away.
- William E. Beckmann, 40, Wausau, died Thursday, June 16, 2011, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Brainard Funeral Home, Wausau. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of services Saturday at the funeral home. -
Rest in Peace Will. You will be missed.

"Willy" and I were friends and neighbors since elementary school. I have many fond memories of playing softball with him and the neighborhood kids in a vacant lot next to his parents house and behind my parents house, playing "kick the can" until all hours, and just hanging out riding our bikes and enjoying life. When we entered John Muir and West we found other friends to hang out with we didn't say much but the occasional "hi" when in passing, but he was always kind to me and everyone else. As kids we shared a lot of fun and laughs. Although he is now gone I will always hold on to the memories. I hope you are at peace, Willy, you will be missed.

Will was a great guy and a good friend to almost everyone. I only got to know him the best in high school but did know who he was at John Muir. We was a good bowler and could play a little football I guess. We will all miss you my friend... Rest in piece
