Randy and I became good friends during the few semesters I attended East, and stayed in touch until sometime during the mid-'70s when every day life, marriage, careers and kids became priorities and several time zones separated us. He had an amazing sense of humor, and his letters always boosted my morale when I was deployed overseas during Vietnam.
Randy passed on Christmas Day 2019. I regret that we never reconnected. May the news of this sad and unexpected loss serve as a reminder to us all to tie up the loose ends in our lives... and to not leave things that need to be said left unsaid.
