The Wayne City High School Class of 1984 met at WCHS on Saturday, June 27^th for their 25^th Class Reunion. There were 33 classmates present with 58 in attendance including guests. The multi-purpose room was decorated in black, red and white. They met at 6 pm and were welcomed by classmate, LaMar Choate. The sound system equipment was brought by classmate Steve Flatt. Prayer was given by Troy Shook and the delicious meal was catered by The Little Red Barn. Owner Leeta (Draper) Mason is a member of the class. Desserts were made by classmates Jonna (Henson) Medder and Andrea (Sanders) James. A sheet cake was made with a picture of the t-shirt of the class back in 1984.

 

After the meal, games were played and won by:

A quiz titled “So You Think You Know Your Classmates” made up by classmate Staci (Allen) Choate was played by the classmates with a question about everyone in the class. Winners were David Medder and Dawn (Ballard) Vowell. There was also a contest to be the 1,984^th person to visit the website and the winner was Andrea (Sanders) James. All prizes were donated by classmates, Kim (Maddox) Shook and Michelle (Smith) Venturi.

 

A DVD was played of the classmates that consisted of 8^th grade pictures, Senior pictures and pictures taken from the class website. The DVD was produced by Kim (Maddox) Shook, with the help of Caroll McKinney, LaMar Choate and current teacher at Wayne City, Tom Taylor. The DVD also included a memorial of Tammy (Page) Welch.

 

After the DVD showing, class members enjoyed a tour of the school. The night ended with visiting and reminiscing with fellow classmates.  The 25^th class reunion was organized by: Kim (Maddox) Shook with the help of: Bobby Downen, Michelle (Smith) Venturi, Jonna (Henson) Medder, LaMar Choate, Staci (Allen) Choate, and Jim Goldman. Also, helping with the decorations on the day of the reunion were Dawn (Ballard) Vowell and David Medder.
