I really liked Pete. He had a great sense of humor and I still believe he had the best mind of anyone I've ever known. I have no idea how he died, but I do know he had a tough life up to the end of high school.
Pete was great people! We had some great times and did some crazy things, like our road trips to Chicago. I heard several stories about Pete after graduation. That he had gone to Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. That he ended up South American manager for Coca-Cola. And that he died of hepatitis later. Don't know for sure.

Pete was quiet and (i thought) almost unapproachable;
but very smart and seemed to do well without any apparent effort ...
