Lenny De Meo was a friend of mine. We played football together and both went in to the police field after graduation. I became a New Jersey State Trooper, he became the Deputy Chief of Police, West Orange Police Department. He passed away around 1999, of cancer, and is missed for sure. John Laird
I knew Lenny in high school, remember art class with him.I even knew him back to Edison Jr. High. He went into W.O. Police force where he worked diligently on the force, rising in the officer ranks. He worked with the Youth Division and was instrumental in performing services at Edison Jr. High to dispel a disturbing situation among students there. He participated in community services. I saw him when he marched in St. Patrick's Day and Columbus Day parades in WO. Lenny, I had great respect for you, miss you, God bless you, from Laurie Palka
