Hello All and Glenn this is a great idea. I have talked to classmates off and on for the past 20 plus years, but this is a great communication tool. I look forward to hearing more about the Reunion and other information that you and our classmates have to share. Keep up the GREAT work and if I can assist with the reunion, I am available.

Thanks so much for getting this setup.  Imagine getting all these people connected with a shared history and the collective experiences that they will bring from 30 years after life in high school.  It is staggering at best.  I just look forward to reconnect with people.  Just simple adult dialogue.  Best...

Perhaps you sent a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair;  Perhaps you came by our home, if so we saw you there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest of words that any friend could say; Perhaps you were not there at all, you just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts we thank you so very much-whatever the part.                                                                             THE WYNN FAMILY                                                                        Earl Tay Tierra Jasmine Rat

It's A Wonderful Blessing To Spend Time With Your High School Classmates Of "34 Years Strong"! Do you all remember how happy and beaming we all were at graduation night! I can remember it taking forever to hear my name called, lol!!! Through the years we have gone on to grow our own families, march off into our destinies, and always forever being proud individuals from class of '80! I know it may seem like it's not that important, and may even be a financial stretch to attend these class reunions-but I tell you this. From the 1st one at MI College, to New Orleans, to Miami; I have come away with a feeling of joy that is indescribable! It's nothing like to be with a sencere group of people "who knew you when", and "who uplift you now "! Come An Experence It For Yourself...trust me; you will leave with a warm heart and a big Smile! See you all in Vegas!!! Be blessed and God Speed. Love Ya!

With joy and anticipation, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our upcoming momentous occasion in Las Vegas.

The purpose of this event is that we might develop ourselves into better classmates and friends. We have an opportunity to fellowship as we come together in an effort to know each other more.

As classmates and friends over the years, we have had our share of ups and downs. Thanks to God, we have experienced more ups than downs. From many places and walks of life we have come to be a part of this very exciting event. It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will blend our hearts that we will become a class that is held together by love and admiration for each other.

Life is filled with swift transitions. Without your presence, this would be an empty hour indeed.

A lot of things have happened since we last met. I deem this as a unique opportunity for us to rekindle our friendships, mend broken relationships, forget about things that we cannot change, and to move forward. So, today let us be enriched by the presence of each other. It is my desire that we become the type of classmates that feel each other’s joys and sorrows.  Let us become so united that one cannot fall without another standing there to ease the fall.

This occasion is to remind us of the elements of friendship. Particularly, it is to lead us to face our responsibilities to each other as classmates and friends. Everything that we shall do both here and around the world depends upon what we decide to do in order to become a better friend and classmate.

I welcome you as classmates who hunger for new experiences with the Class of 1980. I welcome you in the name of Him who died, rose again and forever lives to make intercession for us before the throne of grace. May all that have come to participate in this event enjoy it to the fullest and depart with the feeling that you were blessed to have been in attendance.

Love to you all!

Glenn Ivy

West Point High SchoolClass of 1980 ,  Beauty, Style and Class,  Live Laugh Love,

The Dallas Class Reunion trip was the most Fun I have Ever Had.  Everything was Perfect.  The planning  committee did a Excellent Job. It was a great idea  to get the Van and SUV for transportation around Dallas.  Andrew and Glenn did a wonderful Job  as the Pilot/Driver and Roger and Linda  did a great Job as Co-Pilot/ Navigator. Even when we got Lost in traffic, we had a great time. We were together Safe and on a fun adventure. We  made it to all destinations,  intact and on time.

Bar Louie  for the Meet and Greet  was  so Cool. We talked, ate, watched the NBA Game and ate again.  We  had  a Great Time.  Half of the food was Free because the waitress kept getting the orders wrong. It was chicken wings and Turkey sandwiches all over the table.  "Yes"  Houston Rockets  won the game. Theodore and Joan, it was your Night.

The tour of the Dallas  Stadium and Lunch was Off the Chain.  We had a Super  Time.

The first Lady, Brenita, requested everyone turn their cell  phones down and put it on  "V".  We  sat in the stands, enjoyed the tour.  Then we played and took photos on the field. Everyone were wearing their No 1. Cowboy Fan's  Bottom  with  " Earl Wynn " photo, " ****"Earl, we all could feel  you on the field with us on the 50 yard line.  "  We Love and Miss You Brother" ****

We took the tour of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders Locker room.  Wow. Those girls  are Fine.  A representative of the cheerleaders  was in the Locker Room. He was giving information on how the cheerleaders make the team. Our Class of 1980 Ladies were looking so Beautiful. He was passing out Applications to them. Gertrude got two.  We went in the football players Locker room. Linda, Belinda and Barbara was looking for Dez Bryant,  BUT  all they found was a empty locker. I wonder why?  Glenn started a press conference in the media room. We all joined him on  stage. The tour escort wanted  to kick Glenn and Andrew off of the tour  because they representing the Pittsburgh Steelers.  That was so Funny !! Glenn hooked him up with  a Big Tip afterwards.  Go Steelers !!!      After the tour we had dinner in the Dallas Stadium private dining area. Very nice atmosphere. The food was awesome.  Salad, Pizza, rotisserie  chicken, collard greens, candy yams and some delicious desserts.  Music was playing, food was good,  Vanessa, Gertrude , Brenda, and Davita got the party started with the dancing.  We  had a great time until Roger fell asleep on the table.  Roger had a long night. He deserved a little sleep.

Room with a Clue  was " The Bomb" If you have never tried an Escape Room.  It is fun but it is one of the most challenging things I have ever done with a group.  You really have to work together to escape the room in time.  We did not  escape but everyone had Fun !!

The African American Museum was very informative. We saw many things from our Past and Present. This is  Facts and Reality. It shows  as a Race, we have to work  harder to have a Better Future.  Rynold and Rhoda are  living  History books.  Rynold  can remember things that happen in the 1960's, 70's and 80's.   The  Sixth Floor Museum was very Educational. I wish everyone could see how the people faces looked in the long line outside  the building . The museum employee came outside the museum, pulled our class out of the line, and escorted  us  to the front of the line inside the building. It was Great.  I was going to say it was Cool, but it was still Hot inside the building. The tour was awesome and very educational.

All white Night at "Buttoms", Live Band and delicious food. Class of 1980 was looking Good.   Beauty, Style, and Class.  When we stepped out of the vehicles almost everyone inside  the building stop what they were doing, Turned and Smiled. They knew Class when they saw it.  All night several people  continued to walk up  and compliment the group.  I had a young man walked up to me and  said, " Ole School,  you'll are Looking Good and Smooth like Fine Wine !"   That was a great compliment.   Everything was Perfect. I laughed so hard when  Two white Bikers  hugged Clyde and  singed  " Happy Birthday".  That was so Cool !!

One of my favorite moments was Relaxing at the pool. We enjoyed talking, listening to Ole School Music, and Dancing.  I always enjoy having fun and dancing with my Classmates.  Ladies Stay Sweet and Sexy and  Gentlemen, Stay Cool and Smooth.  All Proud members of AARP.  Until we meet again.

Charles & Carolyn

Charles, that was an excellent recap of the reunion in Dallas. I enjoyed my classmates once again and I cherish every moment that we get to spend together. I felt somewhat sad when it dawned on me that Earl wasn't going to be with us because he was so excited at all the reunions that he attended. I am glad that I was able to get the buttons made and allow him to be there with us in Cowboys stadium. He would have loved it.

I look forward to our 40th reunion and I guarantee that it is going to be something to behold.

Until we all meet again, I want you all to remember that I love you all and there is absolutely nothing that you can do about it.

G

Hello  All,

In response to Glenn's last post reference proposed 2022 gathering for the BIG 60th.  I would be agreeable to a weekend other than that Labor Day weekend.
