Mr. Michael "Spike" L. Connell, 45, of Andover, MA formerly of Westford, MA died Wednesday evening, November 21, 2007 at the Kaplan Family Hospice in Danvers, MA after a long courageous battle with cancer.

He was married to Mrs. Alison (Crumb) Connell with whom he celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary on November 7, 2007.

Born in Lowell, MA on June 10, 1962, the son of Robert L. and Brenda (Riley) Connell both of Holderness, NH. He was a graduate of Westford Academy with the class of 1980. Michael attended Swain School of Design of New Bedford, MA.

He co-owned and operated Small Army, Inc., an Advertising Agency, of Boston, MA.

He was a communicant of St. Augustine Church of Andover, MA, and formerly of St. Catherine Church of Westford, MA. Michael was active with the Archdiocese of Boston. He was a lector at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross in Boston, MA. He was a member of Legatus, and supported the Oblates of the Virgin Mary.

Michael was a member of the Pelham Fish and Game Club of Pelham, NH.

Besides his devoted and loving wife and parents, he is survived by a daughter, Caitlin Connell of Andover, MA, two sons, Riley and Griffin Connell both of Andover, MA, a sister, Kathleen Connell of Lowell, MA, three brothers, Christopher Connell of Lincoln, MA, Jonathan and his wife Yalan Connell of Manchester, NH, and James Connell and his fiance, Sharon Hirsch both of Nashua, NH. Michael is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews as well as several close friends.

Burial in St. Catherine's Cemetery in Westford, MA.
