On Saturday, September 20, 2008, a reunion for WHS Classes 1970-78 was held at Hollytree Country Club in Tyler.  It was attended by 350 classmates and guests and was a great evening.  You may view comments that have been posted by visiting the Message Forum link.  Photos that were taken and uploaded may be viewed at the link below.

Please use the    Message Forum    link on the left to post your comments about the reunion and share some stories about the event.  You can email your reunion pictures to whitehousehsreunion@yahoo.com and we will post them on the link below.  Also, check out some of the profile updates as some classmates are posting reunion photos on their own page.  Please identify the people in your photo if possible.

If you can help identify anyone in the photos that aren't tagged, please drop us an email with the picture number and the name(s).  Or if we've mis-identified anyone, please send the information and we'll get it corrected.

Inquiries have been made as to who worked on the details of the reunion.  We decided the easiest way to address that question was to post it on the site.

The planning group consisted of Sharon (Boyette - 72) Senter, Becky (Nix - 74) Ables, Wanda (Bowie - 72) Ealey, Rosie (Stewart - 72), Trimble, Kay (Hackler - 72) Taylor and Debbie (Maynard - 74) Malone.  Jan (Nix - 74) Cook set up the website and she and Becky are administrators and post the announcements, reunion pictures, and other information.  Jan set us up with Hollytree, and Sharon and Becky met with the club to finalize the details.  Nadine (Dowdy - 75) Hall has been invaluable - she has spent alot of time searching for addresses so we could mail our postcards.  Becky scanned in selected pages from almost all of the yearbooks from 1970 - 1977 and Jan cropped individual photos from those scans to load to the web site. Mark Hagan - 78 provided images from that yearbook for Jan to load to the site.  Cyndi (Nix - 75) Hendrix used those photos to create nametags for the reunion.  Sharon made a memory board to honor those classmates who have passed to display at the reunion.  

The planning group first began meeting in February and initially started planning a reunion for the classes of 1970-75.  We were then contacted by a few members of the classes of 1976 and 1977, with interest in attending.  The class of 1978 most recently asked to be added to our group.  We were more than happy to include those groups - the more the merrier!   We are very pleased with the great response we got for the reunion - we love seeing new and updated profiles and we appreciate the positive comments on the site's Message Forum.
