James J. Baker passed away on April 16, 2014, at ETMC.
James graduated from Whitehouse High School in 1974. He was born on Aug. 31, 1956. He was preceded in death by his parents, E.L. and Allyne Baker; his sister, Mary Baker Hensley; his niece, Mich-elle Burks; and his brother-in-law, Fizz Ellis.
He is survived by his loving wife, Anne Baker; his son, James Baker; his stepdaughter and her husband, Anne and Owen Kale; his sister, Ginger Ellis; his sisters and their husbands, Susie and Bill Graves, Martha and Steve Burks; his brother and his wife, Ronnie and Julie Baker; his brother, John Baker; and grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
When James was younger he drove a truck for Marigold Milk Co. and for Tyler Beverages. He then worked for Kidd-Jones and later for Food Fast.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 4 p.m. at Rose Rudman/Southside Park in Tyler near the playground area.
