George Joseph "Joe" Beddingfield


Services for George Joseph Beddingfield, 51, of Whitehouse, were held on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Whitehouse with Rev. Ray Davis officiating.

Burial followed in the Whitehouse Cemetery in Whitehouse, Texas under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.

Mr. Beddingfield passed, Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2006 at Trinity Mother Francis Hospital in Tyler.

He is the son of Imogene (LaPrade) Beddingfield and the late Chester Beddingfield.

Joe was raised in Whitehouse and graduated from Whitehouse High School in 1973. He went on to receive his Associates Degree from TJC and his Bachelors from Texas Eastern University (now known as University of Texas at Tyler). Mr. Beddingfield was employed by TxDot (Texas Department of Transportation) for 24 years as a Maintenance Technician

Joe enjoyed fishing, history, fire dept. memorabilia, and spending time with his family, especially his boys.

Mr. Beddingfield is sur vived by his mother, Imogene Beddingfield; two sons, Brandon Beddingfield and Jason Beddingfield, both of Whitehouse; sister, Leslie Brown of Big Sandy; two brothers; nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers were Ronny Fite, Darryl Crymes, J.L. Hayes, Kyle Stephensen, David Petersen, and Chuck Barker with Honorary Pallbearers being all members of the Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorials in honor of Joe Beddingfield may be made to Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Department.

I can't believe Joe is really gone. I always thought Joe was too stubborn to die. We were friends for a long time and though he always had that hard cover he really cared for people and was a true friend. I had been trying to find him for the last four years and it's too bad I couldn't have before he passed. He was a good friend.
