Obituary For Pastor Alfred Garrett, Jr.
Funeral services for Pastor Alfred Garrett, Jr., 65, Tyler, are scheduled for 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 4, 2023 at Smith Temple COGIC with Bishop David R. Houston as eulogist. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Community Funeral Home of Tyler.

Alfred Garrett whom those of us who knew him from childhood affectionately called "Mick" was an exceptional person. I've known Mick from before either of us started to school. We both grew up at the same home church. Mick was a devout Christian and was a testament to the fact that you can live a saved life in school. He was always the same...always meek, loving and kind. He will be truly missed. 2 Corinthians 5:1..For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Rest in peace Mick. You have gone from labor to reward.
