Minnie 76 -Malone

Services for Minnie Pearl Malone Davis, 50, Tyler, are scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Louis Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph Caraway officiating. Burial will be in New Canaan Cemetery, Whitehouse, under direction of Brooks-Sterling & Garrett Funeral Directors, Tyler. Mrs. Davis died Jan. 26, 2008,

in Tyler. She was born Oct. 17, 1957, in Whitehouse to the late J.B. and Flossie Fields Malone. She attended Whitehouse High School and Tyler Junior College. She was a teller at Teachers Credit Union for 25 years and a member of St. Louis Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Jeffery Davis, Mansfield; brother, Grover Malone, Independence, Kan.; sisters, Sherline Anderson and Carrie Williams, both of Tyler, Anita Hatton, Hughes Springs, and Lillie Roquemore, Killeen; and one grandchild. Family will receive friends 6-7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Minnie was my friend since we were little kids.  She was always so kind and sincere.  I miss her much, especially when I go to the Credit Union. I still miss her grandmother, Hallie, too. It was through Hallie that I first met Minnie well before we ever started school.
