Stanley Stephen Walker


Services for Stanley Stephen Walker, 53, of Arlington, formerly of Whitehouse, will be on Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Whitehouse United Methodist Church with the Rev. Matt Thomas officiating and Ken Harris speaking.

Burial will follow in Whitehouse Cemetery in Whitehouse under direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home. 

Stanley Stephen Walker went to be with the Lord on May 15, 2012, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.

Steve was born Aug. 21, 1958, in Commerce. He graduated from Whitehouse High School in 1976 and attended Tyler Junior College and Stephen F. Austin State University.

Steve had a passion for music all of his life. He worked at Brook Mays, repairing musical instruments for the past 12 years.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his father, William Stanley Walker.

He is survived by his mother, Ann Walker; son, Brandon Walker; brother, Michael Walker and wife Regina; sister, Suzanne Mounce and husband Steve; nieces, Ashleigh Rosiles, Monique Mounce, Lora Walker; nephews, Westyn Rosiles and Drew Rosiles. Steve had a special place in his heart for Dana Walker and Clayton Castleman. Steve is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2012, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.

So sorry to hear about Steve Walker's passing. I will remember his family in my prayers! His mom was one of my favorite teacher's!
