Services for Neal McCarty, 53, Tyler, are scheduled for 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Cottle Funeral Home chapel, Troup, with the Rev. Sherman Mayfield officiating. Burial will be in the Whitehouse Cemetery.
Mr. McCarty died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011, at his residence. He was born June 26, 1958, in Tyler to R.T. "Pete" McCarty and Betty Mays McCarty. He had been a lifetime resident of Tyler. He loved everything NASCAR. He was employed by Crew Cut Lawn Service.
He was preceded in death by his father, R.T. "Pete" McCarty in 1986.
Mr. McCarty married Sarita Toothman, May 10, 1986, in Tyler.
Survivors include his wife, Sarita McCarty, Tyler; two sons, Adam Neal McCarty, Whitehouse, and Bronson Blake McCarty, Tyler; a daughter and son-in-law, Brittni Elise and David Wise, Tyler; his mother, Betty McCarty, Whitehouse; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Elaine and Bob Standard, Berryville, and Donna and Dave McGuire, Tyler; two grandchildren, Kye Stinecipher and Greycie Wise; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Wes and Ludy Toothman, Tyler; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be David Wise, Chris Breckel, Dave McGuire, Taylor Hanger, Dallas Hanger and Michael Lang.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15.

To the McCarty family, my prayers are with you. I didnt get to see or talk to Neal in several years. But when we did hang out a little, years ago , he was a good friend. I use to have a good time messing with him about his long red hair. We always had fun together when we were together. Its a good feeling to say he was a friend. Bless you all...........RIP FRIEND
