BIOGRAPHY
Services for Thurman “Dale” Stanton 59, of Whitehouse, will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 27, 2015 in the chapel of Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Homewith Bro. Bennie Portwood officiating. Burial with Masonic Rites will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
Dale was born June 17, 1955 in Tyler to Jessie Thurman and Patsy Ruth Portwood Stanton and passed away on March 24, 2015 in Tyler.
He previously worked for Bonar Packaging, retired with Goodyear and currently works for B. KingConstruction as an electrician. Dale was a Scottish Rite in Valley of Waco and was a member of the Bullard Masonic Lodge #785. Dale was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bill Hood; sister and bother-in-law, Belinda and Ronnie Murphree.
Mr. Stanton is survived by his loving wife, Diane Stanton of Whitehouse; father and mother, J.T. and Pat Stanton of Whitehouse, a son, Danny Lee Stanton of Whitehouse; a brother, Ricky and wife Tara Stanton of Montana, mother-in-law, Bobbye Hood; brother-in-laws, Jon Hood and wife Vickie of Chandler and Jack Hood and wife Donna of Georgetown; nieces and nephews, Wayne and Angie Murphree, Ken Fairbanks, Kelley Fairbanks, Denver Stanton, Scott and Courtney Caruthers, Craig and Ashley Riley, Tim and Jennifer Blake, Cash and Meranda Creasy, Rusty Lawrence, Courtney Clark, Devry Clark, Kelsie Fairbanks and Hunter Murphree.
Pallbearers are Wayne Murphree, Hunter Murphree, Devry Clark, Ken Fairbanks, Bill Portwood and Jack Hood. Honorary pallbearers are Denver Stanton and Jon Hood.
Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 26, 2015 at the funeral home.
