Richard Neil Holley, age 66 of Tyler, Texas passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday October 22, 2019. A memorial service is scheduled to be held Wednesday, November 6 2019 at 1 pm at the Tyler Rose Garden. There is no visitation or interment.

Richard was born in Andrews, TX on July 22, 1953 to V.L. (Red) Holley and Ruth Warren Holley He was preceded in death by his parents, Red and Ruth Holley and his brother Larry Holley.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica Guinn, his son Ronald B. Holley and wife Christine, his daughter Rebekah Talley, his son RJ Holley, his brother Ronald J. Holley and wife Susan, his sister Blinda R. Holley and numerous nephews, nieces cousins and 8 grandchildren.

Richard retired from the Houston Police Department after 20 years of service and worked for several smaller departments before completely retiring. He was known as a "Policeman's Policeman" and was very good at his job.
