Hilda Morrison

I worked for WISD for 26 years and retired in 1993. I was on the high school campus my entire employment. I kept study hall, library aide, and worked in the office as attendance clerk. My principals over the years were Mr. Nix, Mr. Smith, Mr. Hagan, Mr. Nichols and Mr. Jennings. In the library, I worked with Mrs. Louise Morrow. In the office, I worked with Mrs. Geneva Wood, Mary Kearnes, and LaWanda Cox. We moved from the big rock building in 1970 to the "new" HS which is now the junior high.

I am amazed how the district has grown from two campuses (rock building on 110 and the elementary which is now the South Building of the junior high) to the present number of 7. Now I have great-grandsons going to Whitehouse Junior High and Mama's House. Some of the fun memories are the faculty parties and ladies end-of-school trips we took to bed and breakfast inns.
