Richard was in my team class in 1963 when Merle Anthony and Paul Strong team taught English and History . I saw him at our reunion and visited briefly with him . He was still the quiet unassuming guy I remember who sat one row over from me and next to the windows when we had oiled oak plank floors and wooden desks that were held to the floor with metal screws and had flip top seats with the ink well hole in the top of the desk that others had carved their initials into and were difficult to write on becsuse of this ..
