Joe lived n my neighborhood growing up. He was my good friend and like a brother and had a laugh I can still hear. God bless the good ones.

Joe "Sunshine" Smith was always so fun. You had to laugh when you were around him. He always made things interesting. The thing I remember most is his riding the oil field derricks. He called it something, but can't remember what it was. Does anyone remember? He will be missed at the reunion, as well as everyone we have lost.

Joe was hillarious. His stories always started with, "have you ever been out in the country and...." . He liked to hold court every morning between the stairs. RIP Sunshine.

Joe used to ride over to my house on his bicycle that he called "Hop-a-long".

We had some mutual friends when we were older & I remember he wore white pants & shirts together a lot (which looked great on him!) and often said "I LOVE this country!" That always brought  smiles & laughter!
