Lana Alyce Pierson (Richards)

It's Great seeing you again Carolyn!! I don't live just too, too far from Kingwood and have cousins living there! There names are Andrea and Jeff Wilkinson...Do you Possibly Know them?? The Reason you May Wonder Why I am putting myself in the 1968 group is that is actually the year I did graduate...at midterm of '68..I have the Craziest High School Repetoire!!! I went altogether to 4 Different High Schools!! I started my Freshman year @ Old High, then I transferred to Rider my Soph. yr. but in the middle of it, I transferred to San Marcos Baptist Academy...I love the Rivers, hills and glens there and the Boys!! But I didn't feel l was getting a very good education there, to finish my High School education to enter college... So, all of my Junior Year, I transferred to a Wonderful All Girls, Boarding and Non-Boarding, school in El Paso called: Radford School for Girls...I really learned an incredible amount of material there, plus made a lot of new friends who I had a lot of fun with!!   

Being a bordering state of New Mexico on 2 sides, we got to go Skiing in Ruidoso which, for some reason, I had never done, and later that year we went down to Old Mexico, Chihuahua---where a famous battle was fought, and Pancho Villa was captured We even saw his luxurious house and maybe even met his very polite much younger wife We saw a whole lot of very Beautiful historical sights and architecture and learned a lot of History..We also saw a Bull Fight, and I, being the Animal Activist that I am, Yelled something like:"Bravo El Toro"!!!

I surely wasn't too Popular with the Hispanics, but Who Cares??!! At least I got a Small Point across and had a lot of Fun doing it!!! I really Loved that School with all of it's History, which was Immaculately preserved by Dr Lucinda Templin, first the Girls' Principal and then as the Schools' President Emeritus and kind of like the School's "Queen" but passed away right I left the school in the earlier part of 1968... They all celebrated the school's 100 Birthday a couple of years ago in Sept. I Really wanted to go to visit all of the Girls, but I was unable to go due to the fact that in 2001, I had a problem in my back which left me paralysed from-- T 6,7, and 8....Basically everything beneath the beltline....Ugh!! It's Always a Daily Struggle!! Mother and Daddy and of course, Grandparents are no longer here...This surely isn't the Best computer and Esp.typewriter!! Between it and me, We have a Minor Disaster!!! ( Sorry!!)   Well, to Finish my High School story and early college days...I really would like to join this group, and do you know how much a Lifetime membership is?? I am really am going to work on going to the big 50tieth, as this one I am not really prepared for...Oh, I could go, but I would need a driver, etc, so,I am Not Really prepared!! But I would love seeing you and Carolyn McCullough, Sue Bebb Seel, Laura Gose Brown, Debby Rundell Abcar, Nancy Newman, Anderson, Mary Jane Ford Schooley, etc... Especially Mary Jane, she has been around here with her sister, and I would love talking to her, but it didn't seem like she wanted to so want else could I do??...There are Soo Many, so if I missed naming some you are in touch and friends with, Please tell them also hello, and  that I am so sorry I couldn't be there, but I think of you all  often and hope everyone is well!! I've missed a whole lot of them, and (oops!!) I am no even a bona fide member yet, but probably will be by the year's end!!!.. I would love hearing from you and what all you've been doing?? And if you possibly do know my fun cousin Andrea and her husband, Jeff Wilkinson? Guess I'd better go before I do any more damage to this letter than's already been done!!
