Wichita Falls - James A. Potts, 72, a life time resident of Wichita Falls passed away Friday, March 18, 2022.

A memorial Celebration of Life will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the chapel of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.

Mr. Potts was born January 1, 1950 to Grover and Yoshiko Potts in Yokohama, Japan. He graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School in 1968 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Business Administration from MSU. Jim married Sheila Pickett on August 15, 1970. They were members of Grace Church of Wichita Falls. Jim was an agency owner for Farmers Insurance here for 40 years. He was a vice president of the students' union for two years at MSU. He also served on the Parks and Recreation Board of Wichita Falls for three years, served eight times as Chairman of the "68 Reunion Board and was also member of the Elks Lodge. Jim's hobbies were camping and fishing, r. c. cars, collectables, garage sales and road trips.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Sheila Potts; sons, Cory W. Potts and wife Christine of Plano, TX, Casey J. Potts of Grapevine, TX and Christopher J. Potts and wife Ashley of Fort Worth, TX; sister, Nancy Balch and husband Gary of Wichita Falls; brother, Gary D. Potts and wife Cindy of Wichita Falls; grandchildren, Hudson, Avery, Ross, Luke, Logan, Emma, Alex and Elle.

All arrangements are under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
