ANNOUNCEMENTS

Life of Christ Class - Lee Smith, teacher
Location: Activity Center
Time: 11:00am - 11:45am
new info 01-30
instead of passing the clip board for prayer requests, blank Prayer Request sheets will be placed on all tables before class begins. Requests are encouraged to be brief and will be read from the podium.
Lee lives on the east side. In case weather conditions keep him from traveling safely and can't come, watch this site or it will be announced from the platform in the Classic service.
Current headcount as of Thursday morning is about 75. Am guessing there will be some walkins.

Looks like we could use about 6-8 people to help greet, hand out notebooks and table tent name tags, collect offering and whatever might come up. Please use contact us if you can help. Will make assignments and notify you before Sunday. Those who already volunteered need not respond again.
Have enough for 1st Sunday

There will be table seating. It is suggested that the number of people per table be minimum 3, maximum 5-6.
And....not telling with whom or where but,,, Who knows, you might make a new friend if you sit with someone you don't know very well.

Insight
"Do not blame Caesar, blame the people of Rome who have so enthusiastically acclaimed and adored him and rejoiced in their loss of freedom and danced in his path and given him triumphal processions. Blame the people who hail him when he speaks in the Forum of the new wonderful good society which shall now be Rome's, interpreted to mean more money, more ease, more security, and more living fatly at the expense of the industrious." --Roman philosopher and statesman Marcus Tullius Cicero (106-43 BC)

The Virtual Wall® Vietnam Veterans Memorial

Thought the link below it would be a good addition to this site. Hope you agree. Check out the the casualties from very small towns (never heard of) in Kansas alone. Many of us knew someone who died in this conflict. www.VirtualWall.org

Veterans: There is a box in your Profile to indicate your military service. When you fill it in, a flag will appear next to your name in "Classmate Profiles".
