what happened to all of brenda's friends from high school? i have been friends with wayne house since junior high school, and his family grew up with my husbands family and they would go on family trips together during the summer. i talked to wayne the other day and he is planning on comming to reuion with his new girlfriend. i asked him about brenda and when she got the news she would only have 1 or 2 years left and i asked him if any of her high school friends where there for her and he said they didnt even know. how could you not know one of your good friends from high school is really sick? i would think you would at least like to post a good memory of her. i wasnt that good of friends with her as we ran in different circles. but i think of her.
god bless you brenda

I remember Brenda from Sophmore year. She was always happy and we had a great time. My sympathy goes out to her family. I wish that I had known that she had passed, I had no idea!

I didn't really know Brenda, but I knew Wayne since grade school. So sorry to hear of your loss.

i remember Brenda, although we weren't close and I didn't keep up with anyone after moving to Austin in '81. I'm so sorry for the sad loss of Brenda to all of you who remained close.

I didn't hear about Brenda until I got involved with the reunion a few weeks ago, and I have to admit I still haven't really come to terms with it. We were friends from ninth grade on, even after graduation. I remember her first place (there's a Dillons there now), drinking Little Kings (we both looked old enough to fool the guy at the liquor store, I guess!), going to a Kansas concert... the list is long. I tried to get in touch with her a few years ago, but when I didn't get a response I just chalked it up to people moving on with their lives - I never imagined she might be going through something so serious. I had really been looking forward to seeing her, and am basically heartbroken that I won't be able to. Obviously, I was unable to attend the funeral (in checking back, I realize I was stuck in Wyoming that month). But I understand several members of the class were there. The obituary said, "Bring your own sunflower seeds" - I'd love to hear more about that! My heart goes out to Wayne and the rest of the family, and I hope she was able to be at peace with it all.
